Pest Control FAQs

Everything you need to know about pest control in the Treasure Valley. Can't find your answer? Give us a call.

Our pest control pricing in Boise is straightforward. Initial service starts at just $49 for new subscription customers. Quarterly maintenance plans start at $119 per visit (homes up to 2,500 sq ft), or choose bimonthly service at $99 per visit if you need more frequent treatment. One-time services for specific pest problems start at $200 with a 30-day warranty. As of 2026, we're consistently more affordable than national chains like Orkin or Terminix while providing the personal service you'd expect from a local Boise company.
Yes. We provide free, no-obligation quotes over the phone. Just tell us about your pest issue and property, and we'll give you upfront pricing with no surprises. When you're ready to move forward, your $49 initial service includes a thorough inspection, a treatment plan, and your first protective treatment all in one visit.
Our subscription plans cover quarterly or bimonthly treatments for 20+ common Treasure Valley pests, interior and exterior service, de-webbing of eaves and entry points, rodent monitoring, and wasp nest removal. You also get our free re-service guarantee: if pests come back between scheduled visits, we come back at no charge. Quarterly and bimonthly plans include a 1-year service agreement.
No hidden fees. The price we quote is the price you pay. Quarterly and bimonthly subscriptions include a 1-year service agreement, but no multi-year lock-ins. Most customers stay with us for years because of the results, not because they have to.
Yes. Our biggest offer is the $49 initial service for new subscription customers, which gets you a full inspection, a custom treatment plan, and your first protective treatment all in one visit. We also run seasonal promotions and referral bonuses throughout the year. Call (208) 297-7947 for current offers in your area.
We treat all the common Treasure Valley pests. That includes ants (carpenter, pavement, and odorous house ants), spiders (hobo spiders, black widows, wolf spiders), wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, mice and voles, cockroaches, earwigs, silverfish, centipedes, box elder bugs, stink bugs, fleas, and ticks. We don't handle termites, bed bugs, or wildlife removal beyond rodents. If you're not sure what's bugging you, send us a photo and we'll identify it.
Yes. One-time services start at $200 for homes up to 2,500 sq ft and include a 30-day warranty. That said, most customers find our quarterly subscription ($119 per visit) to be better value. It includes our free re-service guarantee, preventive protection, and typically costs less per year than calling for multiple emergency one-time treatments.
Exterior treatment creates a protective barrier around your home's foundation, entry points, eaves, and perimeter (3 feet up and 3 feet out from the foundation). That's where most pest prevention happens. Interior treatment targets specific problem areas inside your home, like baseboards and under sinks, when you need it. Our subscription includes both. Most visits focus on the exterior because that's the most effective approach.
Yes! We provide commercial pest control for offices, restaurants, warehouses, retail stores, and other businesses throughout the Treasure Valley. Commercial plans are customized based on your industry requirements, facility size, and pest pressures. We're familiar with health department requirements and can help you maintain compliance.
We stand behind our work 100%. If pests return between your scheduled services, we'll come back and re-treat at no extra charge, as many times as needed. That's our free re-service guarantee. If you're ever unsatisfied, we'll make it right. No questions asked.
Yes. Wasp and hornet nest removal is included with all our service plans at no extra charge. We safely remove nests from eaves, soffits, trees, bushes, playground equipment, and other spots around your property. For active nests, don't attempt removal yourself. Wasps can sting multiple times, and some people have severe allergic reactions.
Watch for large black ants (1/4 to 1/2 inch) indoors near wood, small piles of sawdust-like material (called frass) near baseboards or windowsills, rustling sounds inside walls, and winged ants emerging in spring. Unlike termites, carpenter ants don't eat wood. They excavate it to build their nests. If you suspect carpenter ants, call us right away. Our $49 initial service includes inspection and treatment before they cause structural damage.
Hobo spiders are common in the Treasure Valley, but their danger is often overstated. Their bites can cause localized pain and swelling, but they're not considered medically significant. That said, any spider bite can become infected, and hobo spiders are often confused with brown recluse spiders (which aren't native to Idaho). If you're seeing hobo spiders regularly, get professional treatment. Large populations usually mean there's an underlying insect problem they're feeding on.
Getting rid of mice takes a three-step approach. First, exclusion: sealing entry points (mice fit through holes the size of a dime). Second, trapping: strategically placed traps to remove the mice already inside. Third, sanitation: removing food sources and nesting material. DIY efforts often fail because homeowners miss entry points or use ineffective products. Our rodent control service handles all three steps plus follow-up monitoring.
Spiders go where the food is. If you're seeing lots of spiders, you almost always have an underlying insect problem they're feeding on. Our treatment goes after both the spiders and their food source. We also de-web around your home's exterior and treat entry points to keep spider populations low long-term. In Boise, spider activity peaks from July through October.
No, we don't offer bed bug treatment. Bed bugs require specialized heat treatment and a different chemical approach than the general pest control we handle. If you suspect bed bugs, call a bed bug specialist who has the right equipment. We're happy to refer you to a reputable Treasure Valley company that handles them.
Ant prevention starts with cutting off attractants. Keep food in sealed containers, wipe up crumbs and spills right away, fix any moisture issues under sinks, and trim vegetation back from your home's foundation. Professional quarterly treatment creates a barrier that kills ants before they enter. Once you're on a maintenance plan, ant problems get rare fast. We've helped 2,500+ Treasure Valley families keep their kitchens ant-free.
Wasp activity in the Treasure Valley peaks from late June through September. Queens emerge in spring to build nests, worker populations grow through summer, and colonies get most aggressive in late summer and early fall as they prep for winter. The best time to treat is early summer when nests are still small. That said, we remove nests year-round as part of our service.
Yes. Our treatments are pet-safe when applied correctly. We use organic-based, EPA-registered products (hospital-grade formulations) and apply them in targeted areas away from pet food and water bowls. Keep pets off treated exterior areas until dry, usually 30-60 minutes. Always let your technician know about pets so we can take extra precautions around feeders, beds, and kennels.
Absolutely. Child safety is our top priority. We use the same hospital-grade products you'd find in daycares and hospitals, applied in cracks, crevices, and perimeter areas away from play zones. All applications follow EPA guidelines for home use. Keep kids away from treated areas until dry, typically 30-60 minutes for exterior treatments.
Yes. Our standard treatments already use organic-based, hospital-grade products that are safe for kids and pets once dry. For customers who want an even greener approach, we offer botanical-based and reduced-risk options that work well for prevention and moderate pest pressure. For severe infestations, we'll recommend the right approach for fast knockdown, then transition you to organic-based maintenance.
For most treatments, no. Our standard interior treatments use low-toxicity products applied to cracks, crevices, and targeted areas. You can stay home during and after service. Products are safe once dry, usually 30-60 minutes. Your technician will always tell you about any precautions before treatment begins. We don't use bug bombs or foggers.
We use organic-based, hospital-grade, EPA-registered products from trusted professional manufacturers. They're the same formulations used in hospitals and daycares. Our product selection focuses on effectiveness, family safety, and environmental responsibility. Want specifics on what we're using on your home? Ask your technician or call our office for Safety Data Sheets.

Absolutely. Meridian is one of our busiest service areas. We cover all of Meridian (83642 and 83646), including new developments in South Meridian, established neighborhoods near downtown, and everything in between. Meridian's rapid growth means lots of new construction disturbing pest habitats. We know the pest pressures specific to this area inside and out.
We serve the entire Treasure Valley: Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, Garden City, Middleton, Emmett, and Mountain Home, plus surrounding communities in Ada County and Canyon County. If you're not sure we cover your area, give us a call at (208) 297-7947. We're always expanding our coverage.
Yes. We provide full pest control services in Eagle (83616) and Star (83669). These communities have unique pest pressures because of their proximity to foothills and agricultural areas. We see more rodents, spiders, and wasps in Eagle and Star than in most of the Valley. Our technicians handle these properties every week.
Yes. We service Nampa (83651-83653, 83686-83687), Caldwell (83605-83607), and all of Canyon County. Our main office is in Boise, but we have technicians dedicated to the Nampa and Caldwell area for fast service. We know the pest issues common in Canyon County, including the agricultural pests that migrate into residential areas.
For urgent pest problems like wasp nests near doorways or rodent sightings, we offer same-day service if you book by noon. For routine appointments and new customer inspections, we can typically schedule within 24-48 hours. Our office hours are 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, and service hours run 8 AM to 6 PM. Call (208) 297-7947 for the soonest opening.
For exterior-only treatments, no. We can service your property while you're away and leave a detailed service report. For interior treatments, you'll want to be home or provide access instructions. Many customers give us a garage code or leave a key for interior access. We always contact you before and after service.
For most Treasure Valley homes, quarterly service (every 3 months) provides solid year-round protection. Products last about 90 days under normal conditions, so quarterly visits keep the barrier active continuously. Homes with higher pest pressure (near fields, older construction, or a history of infestations) do better with bimonthly service every 60 days. We'll assess your property and recommend the right frequency.
The best time to start is now. Pest control works best as prevention, not reaction. That said, spring (March through May) is ideal for establishing protection before peak pest season. Summer is when most people call us (because they're already seeing bugs), and fall treatment helps prevent overwintering rodents and box elder bugs. We service year-round and can start anytime.
Absolutely. Life happens, and we make rescheduling easy. You can reschedule through our customer portal, by calling our office, or by replying to your appointment reminder. We just ask for 24 hours notice when possible so we can offer that slot to another customer.
Light rain doesn't affect our treatments. We use products designed to adhere to surfaces and stand up to weather. For heavy rain or storms, we'll reschedule to make sure the treatment performs the way it should. If we need to push your appointment, we'll contact you to find the next available time.
