Pest Control FAQs

Everything you need to know about pest control in the Treasure Valley. Can't find your answer? Give us a call.

Our pest control pricing in Boise is straightforward: Initial service starts at just $49 to get your home protected. Quarterly maintenance plans start at $119 per visit, or choose bimonthly service at $99/visit for homes needing more frequent treatment. One-time services for specific pest problems start at $200. We're typically 20-30% less expensive than national chains like Orkin or Terminix while providing more personalized service.
Yes! We provide free, no-obligation quotes over the phone or online. Just tell us about your pest issue and property, and we'll give you upfront pricing—no surprises. When you're ready to move forward, your $49 initial service includes a thorough inspection, treatment plan, and your first protective treatment all in one visit.
Our subscription plans include: quarterly or bimonthly treatments covering 20+ common pests, interior and exterior service, de-webbing of eaves and entry points, rodent monitoring, wasp nest removal, unlimited free re-treatments between visits if pests return, and no long-term contracts. You can cancel anytime with no penalties.
No hidden fees, no long-term contracts. The price we quote is the price you pay. We believe in earning your business every visit, which is why we don't lock you into multi-year agreements. You can cancel your subscription anytime—though most customers stay with us for years because of our results.
Yes! We offer several discounts: $49 initial service for new customers (regularly $149), senior citizen discounts, military/veteran discounts, and referral bonuses. We also run seasonal promotions—call us or check our website for current offers.
We treat all common Idaho pests including: ants (carpenter ants, pavement ants, odorous house ants), spiders (hobo spiders, black widows, wolf spiders), wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, rodents (mice and rats), cockroaches, earwigs, silverfish, centipedes, box elder bugs, stink bugs, fleas, ticks, bed bugs, and more. If it's bugging you, we can help.
Yes, we offer one-time services starting at $200 for homeowners who need a specific problem addressed. However, most customers find our quarterly subscription ($119/visit) to be better value since it includes unlimited re-treatments, preventive protection, and typically costs less per year than multiple one-time services.
Exterior treatment creates a protective barrier around your home's foundation, entry points, eaves, and perimeter—this is where 90% of pest prevention happens. Interior treatment targets specific problem areas inside your home when needed. Our subscription includes both, though most visits focus on exterior prevention since that's the most effective approach.
Yes! We provide commercial pest control for offices, restaurants, warehouses, retail stores, and other businesses throughout the Treasure Valley. Commercial plans are customized based on your industry requirements, facility size, and pest pressures. We're familiar with health department requirements and can help you maintain compliance.
We stand behind our work 100%. If pests return between your scheduled services, we'll come back and re-treat at no additional cost—as many times as needed. If you're ever unsatisfied with our service, we'll make it right or refund your most recent treatment. No questions asked.
Yes, wasp and hornet nest removal is included with all our service plans at no extra charge. We safely remove nests from eaves, soffits, trees, bushes, playground equipment, and other areas around your property. For active nests, we recommend not attempting removal yourself—wasps can sting multiple times and some people have severe allergic reactions.
Signs of carpenter ants include: large black ants (1/4 to 1/2 inch) seen indoors especially near wood, small piles of sawdust-like material (frass) near baseboards or windowsills, rustling sounds in walls, and winged ants emerging in spring. Unlike termites, carpenter ants don't eat wood—they excavate it to build nests. If you suspect carpenter ants, call us right away—our $49 initial service includes inspection and treatment before they cause structural damage.
Hobo spiders are common in Idaho but their danger has been overstated. While their bites can cause localized pain and swelling, they're not considered medically significant. That said, any spider bite can become infected, and hobo spiders are often confused with more dangerous brown recluse spiders. We recommend professional treatment if you're seeing hobo spiders regularly, as large populations indicate other pest issues they're feeding on.
Getting rid of mice requires a three-step approach: 1) Exclusion—sealing entry points (mice can fit through holes the size of a dime), 2) Trapping—strategically placed traps to remove existing mice, and 3) Sanitation—removing food sources and harborage areas. DIY efforts often fail because homeowners miss entry points or use ineffective products. Our rodent control service includes all three steps plus follow-up monitoring.
Spiders go where the food is. If you're seeing lots of spiders, it usually means you have an underlying insect problem they're feeding on. Our treatment approach addresses both the spiders AND their food source. We also de-web around your home's exterior and treat entry points to reduce spider populations long-term.
Yes, we offer bed bug treatment services. Bed bugs require specialized treatment different from general pest control. We use a combination of targeted chemical treatments and monitoring to eliminate infestations. Bed bug treatments are priced separately from our regular pest control plans—call us for a free quote.
Ant prevention starts with eliminating attractants: keep food in sealed containers, clean up crumbs and spills immediately, fix moisture issues, and trim vegetation away from your home's foundation. Professional quarterly treatment creates a chemical barrier that kills ants before they enter. Once you're on a maintenance plan, ant problems become rare.
Wasp activity in Idaho typically peaks from late June through September. Queens emerge in spring to build nests, worker populations grow through summer, and colonies become most aggressive in late summer/early fall as they prepare for winter. The best time to treat is early summer when nests are small—but we remove nests year-round as part of our service.
Yes, our treatments are pet-safe when applied correctly. We use EPA-registered products and apply them in targeted areas away from pet food and water bowls. We recommend keeping pets off treated exterior areas until dry (usually 30-60 minutes) and off treated interior areas for 2-4 hours. Always let your technician know about pets so we can take extra precautions.
Absolutely. Child safety is our top priority. We use products specifically selected for their safety profile in residential settings, apply them in cracks, crevices, and perimeter areas away from play zones, and follow all EPA guidelines for residential application. We recommend keeping children away from treated areas until dry, typically 30-60 minutes for exterior treatments.
Yes! We offer eco-friendly pest control options using botanical-based products, essential oils, and reduced-risk pesticides for customers who prefer a greener approach. These treatments are effective for prevention and moderate pest pressure. For severe infestations, we may recommend conventional products for faster knockdown, then transition to eco-friendly maintenance.
For most treatments, no. Our standard interior treatments use low-toxicity products applied to cracks, crevices, and targeted areas—you can stay home during and after service. For specialized treatments like flea bombs or severe infestations, we may recommend vacating for 2-4 hours. Your technician will always inform you of any precautions before treatment begins.
We use professional-grade, EPA-registered products from trusted manufacturers like Syngenta, BASF, Bayer, and Rockwell Labs. Our product selection focuses on effectiveness, safety, and environmental responsibility. We're happy to discuss specific products or provide Safety Data Sheets upon request—just ask your technician or call our office.
Yes! Boise is our home base. We service all Boise neighborhoods including Downtown, the North End, Boise Bench, Southeast Boise, West Boise, and the Boise foothills. Same-day and next-day appointments are typically available for Boise residents.
Absolutely. Meridian is one of our busiest service areas. We cover all of Meridian including new developments in South Meridian, established neighborhoods near downtown, and everything in between. Meridian's rapid growth means lots of new construction disturbing pest habitats—we're very familiar with the pest pressures specific to this area.
We serve the entire Treasure Valley including: Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, Garden City, Middleton, and surrounding communities in Ada County and Canyon County. If you're unsure whether we service your area, give us a call—we're always expanding our coverage.
Yes, we provide full pest control services in Eagle and Star. These communities have unique pest pressures due to their proximity to foothills and agricultural areas—we see more rodents, spiders, and wasps in these areas. Our technicians are experienced with the specific challenges of Eagle and Star properties.
Yes! We service Nampa, Caldwell, and all of Canyon County. While our main office is in Boise, we have technicians dedicated to the Nampa/Caldwell area for efficient service. We're very familiar with the pest issues common in Canyon County, including agricultural pests that migrate into residential areas.
For urgent pest problems (wasp nests near doorways, rodent sightings, etc.), we offer same-day emergency service. For routine appointments and new customer inspections, we can typically schedule within 24-48 hours. Our online booking system shows real-time availability, or call us to find the soonest opening.
For exterior-only treatments, no—we can service your property while you're away and leave a detailed service report. For interior treatments, we recommend being home or providing access instructions. Many customers give us a garage code or leave a key for interior access. We'll always contact you before and after service.
For most Treasure Valley homes, quarterly service (every 3 months) provides excellent protection year-round. Homes with higher pest pressure—near fields, older construction, or previous infestations—may benefit from bimonthly service. We'll assess your property and recommend the right frequency for your situation.
The best time to start is now—pest control is most effective as prevention rather than reaction. That said, spring is ideal for establishing protection before peak pest season. Summer is when most people call (when they're seeing bugs), and fall treatment helps prevent overwintering pests. We service year-round and can start anytime.
Absolutely. Life happens, and we make rescheduling easy. You can reschedule through our customer portal, by calling our office, or by replying to your appointment reminder. We just ask for 24 hours notice when possible so we can offer that slot to another customer.
Light rain doesn't affect our treatments—we use products designed to adhere to surfaces and withstand weather. For heavy rain or storms, we may reschedule to ensure optimal treatment effectiveness. If we need to reschedule due to weather, we'll contact you to find the next available time.
